Ready-made puff pastry wraps a savoury pork and sage filling for easy homemade sausage rolls.

Ingredients
- 320 gready-rolled puff pastry
- 400 gpork sausagemeat
- 1 tspdried sage
- 1 tspEnglish mustard
- 20 gbreadcrumbs
- 1egg, beaten
- ¼ tspblack pepper
Make
Method
- 1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 2.
Mix the sausagemeat, sage, mustard, breadcrumbs and pepper in a bowl.

Unroll the pastry and cut lengthways into two strips; shape half the filling into a long sausage down the centre of each.

Brush one long edge of each strip with egg, fold the pastry around the filling and press the edges together.
4 minutes - 5.
Place seam-side down, cut each log into six rolls and transfer to the tray; brush with egg and snip a small vent in each top.
6 minutes - 6.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden, with the filling reaching 75°C in the centre.
